About Us
OUR STORY
DIG began in the 70s, starting off as a small publication with limited circulation for those on campus. Now, in 2023, we have expanded our publication across campus, and include a vast number of categories in our reporting, including features, trends, poetry, opinions, issues and more. Topics vary from fashion, food, entertainment, music, art, culture and lifestyle.
OUR MISSION
DIG is a student-produced arts and culture magazine published by CSULB’s Department of Journalism and Public Relations. We inspire readers to immerse themselves in the Long Beach lifestyle through photography, videography, design, illustration and the written word.
OUR VALUES
We value uplifting the diverse narratives of those in our community, telling their stories with empathy and integrity. Because we follow the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) code of ethics, we value accurate and fair information. Journalists in our publication have an obligation to seek truth, provide timely information and report about those affecting our campus community.
